About the Executive Chef
Ken Lowrie is the Executive Chef at JLCC. Ken started his culinary career in the early 1990’s. His first job in the industry was as a dishwasher but he quickly worked his way upward through the ranks of the restaurant kitchen hierarchy. Although Ken has a degree in Audio Production, which he continues to work at in his spare time, the culinary arts have always been his first love. He has learned the trade by working under the guidance of talented Chefs in England and was the Chef in the busiest restaurant at The Country Club of Virginia for five years before making the move to JLCC. During his tenure here at the Club Ken has planned and executed several creative seasonal menu changes and has also developed a new banquet package menu. He plans to continue looking for new ways to improve the dining experience at Jefferson-Lakeside and to keep members engaged, satisfied and happy with his culinary offerings.
